THE FOLLOWING IS A POSTING FOR A PAST POSITION AND IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY

The Government Liaison/DG specialist/Middle Belt Regional  Coordinator will be responsible for Office of Transition Initiative's interaction with the government in Abuja, and will coordinate OTI activities in  the Middle Belt.  He/she will work closely with Embassy officials  in Abuja, and will report to the National Coordinator in Lagos.  He/she will also serve as the sectoral democracy and governance  specialist, advising the rest of the OTI team on DG matters.  The  candidate will coordinate with the USAID/DG officer, once such a  position is filled.

The candidate should have academic and field experience related  to democracy and governance, have excellent communication and  writing skills, and be a competent facilitator for seminars and  other public events.
