The Delta Pilot Program Coordinator/South Regional Coordinator  will manage Office of Transition Initiative's Delta Pilot Program and coordinate the other  OTI activities in the South/South and South/East.

The Delta Pilot Program is intended to mitigate the crisis in the  oil-producing region by establishing a fund for community-based,  decentralized resource management.  This will complement other  conflict-resolution initiatives. OTI will provide seed capital  for the development fund with tripartite management: newly  elected local officials, grassroots organizations, and an oil  company(s).

The candidate should have a graduate degree in one of the social  sciences or five years of field experience.  He/she should be a  sensitive listener, a community activist, and understand the  basics of fund management. He/she should be able to communicate  effectively with grassroots organizations and their  constituencies, with local government officials, and with  personnel from the oil companies.  The candidate must be mature  and self-reliant.
