GlobalCorps Recruiter
GlobalCorps is looking for a Recruiter to support the Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (USAID/BHR/OFDA) in Washington, DC. This individual will join the GlobalCorps staff and will assist in the recruitment of OFDA personnel worldwide. The successful candidate will be highly organized, motivated, and capable to strive in a deadline-oriented work environment that requires the ability to juggle administrative type work with more managerial style tasks. This individual must be extremely professional, possess fantastic interpersonal skills, and be highly responsible. A bachelor's degree in International Affairs, Political Science, or related field is required while a master's degree, overseas travel experience, and foreign language proficiency is preferred. U.S. Citizenship is required.
Position Description
This individual will be responsible for assisting in the personnel recruitment of the Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (USAID/BHR/OFDA). In order to support OFDA's needs, the following duties will be required:
Serve as a primary point of contact regarding all Personal Services Contracts (PSC) recruitment activities; respond to all e-mail, phone, and in-person inquires from potential or current candidates
Represent GlobalCorps/OFDA at all external events including but not limited to conferences, job fairs, and training sessions
Assist in the maintenance, updating, and potential development of the recruiting database, e-mail listservs, and networking lists; this will include scanning documents, database entry, and frequent e-mails
Perform candidate background checks including initial screenings, education verifications, reference checking, and interviewing
Assist in the development of recruitment-related documents, presentations, and other written reports
Responsible for the identification of qualified recruitment sources, networking leads, job fairs and conferences, advertising resources, and other items pertinent to the recruitment of qualified candidates
Assist and advise OFDA personnel on issues relating to the employment process including interview technique, employment law, and appropriate USAID policy
Schedule and facilitate the interview and phone screening process between select candidates and OFDA's Selection Committee.
Responsible for the development and subsequent mailing of rejection letters to those candidates not selected for employment
Assist in the design and administration of the GlobalCorps website
And other duties as assigned.
This position reports to the Senior Recruiter and is located at 1201 Pennsylvania Avenue.
